**Play Song**

I Have Known the Man

I have known the man
That casts his nets upon the sea
And I have filled my belly
With the fish he brings to me.

I have known the man
The man who cut the trees
And I have built so many things
From the wood he brings to me.

I have known the man
The man who tills the soil
And I have set my table
From the bounties of his toil.

I don't mean to cast a shadow
On any working man
But I think it's time we question
How much it all will stand.

The seas are getting thinner
And the trees are growing small
And the farmer must be alchemist
To grow anything at all.

I can't claim to have the answer
And I can not see around the bend
But I surely know this road we're on
Can only see us to a sorry end.
